Spring is springing, and bunnies are hopping! These cookies will look great on your Easter table, hidden in the yard during the egg hunt, or given to the bunny lovers in your life. These bunny cookies were designed to be quick, easy, and even therapeutic so you can make a bunch of these for your occasion or to sell as gifts. Because we don’t need much color, in this class all we use is white icing as we do quick “watercolor painting” using food coloring pens!
WHAT IS TAUGHT: How to dip cookies in icing to cut your icing time in half; the basics of the consistency, bagging, cutting your tip, and how to ice your cookies; how to mix colors to get the color palette you’re looking for; 3 different ways to transfer your design onto your cookies; watercolor painting on cookies; and how to clean up a food marker mistake.
All templates are included to copy from, as well as a handy color mixing guide! For this class, you will want to watch the 1-hour video before starting anything, and that will give you the guidance you need. You will also receive a Video Index so you can jump right back to the spot you want to review.
Supplies Needed:
~ Cookie dough and premade Royal icing
~ 2 Tablespoons of corn syrup added to your one batch of icing recipe, if you don't add it in already
~ A pack of Food Marker Pens in various colors. Make sure it includes black and pink.
~ Some kind of projecting method. I show you 3 ways, from the least expensive to the most expensive. You will either need a piece of tissue paper, the Lucida Phone App, or a Mini Projector.
~ Wilton Pure Lemon Extract found at any craft store and even Walmart in the baking aisle.
~ Small-medium size paintbrush such as a Round #4.
~ Cookie Scribe
